What Makes Glamping Different From Camping?
Camping is for adventure seekers. And glamping? Glamping, too is for those seeking adventure but it combines the art of camping with a blend of glamour and luxury in it. And here is why Sumit Roy thinks it is time to move on to glamping rather than sticking to camping.
Glamping or glamourous camping is the new talk of the town. Why do we say so? Because unlike camping there’s a lot more to it. While camping, you have to pitch in your own tents, cook your own food, prepare your morning breakfast, etc. but while glamping you are spared from doing all of these because there’s more to an outdoor camping than just managing yourself to make ends meet. Read on to know what makes glamping different from camping.
Peace Of Mind
Would you want your holiday to be nerve-wracking especially when you have taken a break from your work after a very long time and decided to do some soul searching? You certainly wouldn’t want that. And this is where glamping comes in. Consider this: While on a camping trip you ought to get your brains running and look out for a place suitable to set up your tents in the right place. But glamping spares you the mental exhaustion of searching for the perfect spot including the physical exertion of setting up your own tent, all by yourself. So, guess what? You have more time to explore and admire the beauty around you.
When it comes to satiating your taste buds, there can’t be any compromises, right? Wrong! This is where campers go wrong as they generally take food for granted, and often carry canned foods to the campsite or cook it then and there. In doing so they miss out on trying the local delicacies. Imagine going on a holiday carrying a bag full of canned foods, and eating or cooking the same food you eat back in your home, does that feel good? Of course not! So why not give glamping a chance? When you glamp with us at TUTC, we offer you a range of local cuisines to choose from which are prepared by our award winning chefs, all at your beck and call.
One thing common between camping and glamping is that you would be staying in tents. But that is all that. There’s a lot of difference in how you would be staying in the tents. While on a camping trip, you will be sleeping on the ground inside your sleeping bags but that is no comforting way of sleeping either considering the harsh weather that you might have to endure during your sleep after a tiring day. On the other hand, while glamping you will be spared from sleeping bags and instead sleep on a comfortable bed with full control over the temperature of your tent.
Additionally, you also needn’t have to worry about attending ‘Nature’s Call’ as your glamping tent is equipped with restrooms. We would spare you the thought of attending Nature’s Call while you camp.
Our body comprises about 60% of water and therefore one cannot deny its importance. And potable water is still a distant dream for many in this world. With that said, do you think finding drinkable water while you are camping in the mountains or in a forest is easier? Well, the answer is NO. Campers have to rely on nearby rivers and lakes in order to stay hydrated. What’s more is that they need to know the proper filtration process to make sure that the water is safe for drinking.
Glampers on the other hand do not have to face this challenge as glamping tents are equipped with potable running water. Also, if getting dirty and staying dirty bothers you then ‘Glamping’ is the answer to your worries since most campers tend to go days without having a proper bath as it adds to the experience.
The first thing that anyone needs in the morning is breakfast and a beverage of their choice – tea or coffee. While campers brew their own beverage and rely on the foods that they have carried for breakfast, glampers have a choice of waking up to the aroma of the freshly brewed tea or coffee and the morning breakfast. And since all glamping spots are chosen carefully, glampers do not miss out on anything, literally. Imagine waking up to the mesmerizing beauty of the nature, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the chirping of birds while the morning sun radiates in golden hues. Sounds dreamy, right? Believe us until you experience it on your own.
In this fast paced life of the 21st Century, we all need some peace and recluse to find out more about ourselves, to spend time with our near and dear ones and make up memories for a lifetime. Away from the city while on a trip, all we seek is to enjoy every moment and soak in the nature so that we come out as a better person tomorrow. And while all those who have had experienced glamping have experienced camping as well, but not all those who have camped have glamped. Because unlike camping where there is more of physical exertion, glamping is all about rediscovering yourself, soothing your soul, making peace with your past, rekindling with the nature, and moving on with life.
